Short answer

How do I add a connector to Muse?

If the connector is in the Muse directory, find it there and connect your account. If it isn’t, ask Muse in a chat to build a custom connector, give it the maker’s public MCP server address, and sign in when Muse asks. Then ask Muse to list the connector’s tools and try a read-only one before you let it change anything.

Before you start

  • The connector’s MCP server address, from the maker’s website. It usually ends in /mcp.
  • A way to sign in: an account with the maker, or an access key they give you.
  • Something read-only to test with, such as last week’s ad performance or a check of your homepage.

Option 1: add a connector from the Muse directory

Connectors in the directory have been through Meta’s review, which covers functional, security, and legal requirements plus end-to-end testing. Find the connector in Muse, connect it, and sign in with your account at that product. When it’s available, this is the simplest route.

Many marketing tools are newer than the directory, so the one you want may not be listed yet. That’s what custom connectors are for.

Option 2: add a custom connector from an MCP address

  1. Find the address

Copy the MCP server address from the maker’s connector page. AdCrunch, for example, publishes https://mcp.adcrunch.dev/mcp.

  2. Ask Muse to build the connector

Start a chat and tell Muse the connector’s name, its address, and how it signs in. The example prompt below works as a template.

  3. Sign in when Muse asks

If the maker uses account sign-in, Muse takes you through it. If it uses an access key, enter it where Muse asks for credentials, not as a regular chat message, so the key doesn’t end up in your conversation history.

  4. List the tools

Ask Muse to show every tool the connector offers and say which ones change things. This is your clearest view of what the connector can read and what it can do.

  5. Try something read-only

Run one harmless request, such as a report or a website check, and confirm the answer matches what you see in the product itself.

  6. Save it for next time

Ask Muse to save the connector so you can use it in future chats without repeating the setup.

Example prompt for step 2
Build a custom connector to AdCrunch. Its MCP server is https://mcp.adcrunch.dev/mcp. Connect to it, sign in when it asks, then list every tool it gives you and tell me which ones can change my ad accounts. Save it so I can use it again.

Published addresses for the marketing connectors we track

These are the MCP addresses makers publish on their own sites. Copy from the maker’s page when you set one up, in case it has changed.

Ubersuggest, Adside, Social Perks, and SendFast sign in with your account at each product; see each connector review for details. AdLoop can be used through its hosted AdLoop Cloud or run on your own server.

If it doesn’t work

  • Muse says it can’t connect: check that the address is copied exactly, including https:// and the ending.
  • Sign-in fails: make sure your account or key is active with the maker. Access keys are usually tied to one account.
  • The tools look different from the maker’s page: makers update connectors. Ask Muse to list the tools again and trust the live list.
  • It wants to change something you didn’t ask for: decline. Approve changes one at a time until you trust the connector.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add any MCP server to Muse?

Custom connectors need an MCP server hosted on the public web. A server that only runs on your own computer can’t be reached by Muse.

Are custom connectors reviewed by Meta?

No. Only connectors submitted through the Muse Connector Platform go through Meta’s review. With a custom connector you’re relying on the maker, so check what its tools can change before you approve actions.

Should I paste my access key into the chat?

No. Enter passwords and keys only where Muse asks for credentials. A key typed into a normal message can end up stored in your conversation history.

Which connector should I add first?

Pick the one that matches your biggest problem. If your website is outdated, start with AI Website Builder. If you have a decent site but few customers find it, start with Digital Marketing & SEO.
